McCrie Family Purchases
Ken Thomson Tribute Painting

The late Mr. Ken Thomson, Canadian newspaper magnate, was a close friend and mentor to Win Henstock Gallery artist Adrian DeRooy. Adrian painted a tribute piece entitled Midday Marsh - Ode to Ken Thomson and kept it as a commemorative work after Mr. Thomson died. Win Henstock Gallery asked to exhibit the painting, with the primary intention of sharing this magnificent work with the public. However, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McCrie were so drawn to this painting that they had to purchase it! Midday Marsh - Ode to Ken Thomson now hangs prominently in the McCrie’s gracious Oakville home.

Yet, hope “springs” eternal! With wiarton willy predicting the early arrival of Spring and Easter arriving in March, sunny days filled with warmth, blue skies and green grass will soon be upon us.
