Inspired by Picasso Still Life drawings and the softness of Renoir paintings, Diana developed her own unique technique of hand-colouring fiber-based black and white silver gelatin prints. She has received grants from Ontario Arts Council, Hamilton Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council, the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communications (CAPIC), and the Applied Arts Photography Award from Applied Arts Magazine.
